A stablecoin reserve ratio compares the value of eligible reserve assets with the amount of stablecoin liabilities or redeemable tokens outstanding. The metric is useful but incomplete because asset quality, liquidity, encumbrances, pending transactions, legal segregation, and the exact definition of circulating supply can materially affect real backing.
