Definition

A fee reserve is a deliberately maintained balance of network-native or other required assets used to pay transaction and operational fees. Fee Reserve must state the obligation or risk covered, target amount, eligible assets, ownership, legal restrictions, valuation method, and release conditions. Reliable management of Fee Reserve combines current positions with expected flows, access constraints, concentration limits, approval rules, and reconciled financial records.

Overview

Blockchain transactions commonly require fees in the network’s native asset even when the value being transferred is a token.
